Destinations in Croatia

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city which is a must-see for any Croatian Tourist. Known as ‘the pearl of the Adriatic” where the white buildings shine in the Croatian sun. Cafes, restaurants and shops are dotted throughout Placa – a pedestrian area, which also contains monuments and wonderful Mediterranean architecture. There are churches, museums and other historical buildings that are stunning with ornamental carved stone adorning their exteriors. Outside of the city you will find islands full of flora & fauna, beaches and woodland to explore.

Istria is the heart-shaped peninsula just south of Trieste in Italy and has a beautiful landscape of green valleys and forests. It has a stunning coastline, popular with those seeking a relaxing tan during their break. The coastal region of Pula contains a roman Ampitheatre constructed between 27 BC & 68 AD and is well documented as being the best preserved ancient monument in Croatia. The fishing village of Rovinj is one of the main tourist destinations in Istria and boasts a number of small bays. It is described as an area of outstanding natural beauty .

SplitSplit is the largest Croatian city on the Adriatic Coast and a major transport hub, offering transfers to local Adriatic Islands amongst other areas. The centre of the town is the host to Diocletian’s Palace – built by the romans in the 4th century, which has been adopted by UNESCO on the register of World Cultural Heritage. The local harbour is also a popular destination, with many cafes to relax and enjoy the view or just take a leisurely walk along the coastline.

Kvarner Riveria is home to the resorts of Opatija and Crikvenica, which are both popular as royal and celebrity holiday destinations. Moscenicka Draga Beach being one of the most popular natural beaches in the riveria. The green Ucka mountain stands behind the Kvarner Riveria at 1401m high, lush in forests containing sweet chestnuts in the Lovran area.

Makarska Riviera is 60 kilometers long but only a few kilometeres wide and is situated under the Biokovo mountain, towering at 1762m. It has a sunny climate and the pebbly beaches make this region a popular tourist destination. The city has a popular promenade with palm trees along its length where you will find cafes, bars and boutiques.
